There are a number of things you can do to learn what fires in what order within Visual FoxPro. Several books have information on this subject. An approach I took when VFP 3.0 was in Beta, was to place wait windows with messages indicating what had fired. I tied this to common objects like combo boxes. It helped to understand what was happening and when. You might create a simple form and try this as a means of understanding the sequence of events.
