why the people are leaving from Windows to Linux?, why people leave VB to Java?, why Microsoft create C#? (a Java Clon), why Microsoft change the language VB in every version?, because the tech change every moment and VB is a mass language, and the mass like the easy things, VB is easy , yeah!, but thats all, you can Client/server apps with VB? of course, but VB is for all people and for all applications, you dont have limits with VB and dont have focus in nothing, VFP have focus in Data, and i use VFP for make apps with Data, if i want a dev a game (really), i use DIV games studio, because is a Framework make with C (Watcom C) for dev games, if i start a dev a internet app i use Java because java work well with that, you see?, where put VB?, in all?, ok , but exist betters tool to make the specific Job, thats the reason because the people change to Java, the desktop apps is a great market but exist ERPs, Software with years in the market, etc, etc, the internet apps market is new and the right tool is Java, why Microsoft spent millions in .NET?, because thats the future, and VB because is a mass language is adapted again to this market, VFP is relegate because only work for data.

the slogan is VB is all, VFP for manipulating data or cursors

the corporate IT world are in the mayority sheeps (people with huge sallary and hear about new technology from the Magazines but without work in low level like us), now follow to Java, remember AI?, "in the future all enterprises have AI for make decisions", now how many Enterprises have AI in business?, ERP?, are expensives , you try to modify SAP R/3?, you need a server with 1GB of RAM only for "dev", with 15000 tables aprox, when many time take change options in SAP?, the sucess with ERP is they are testing, and have years in the market, but his technology is about 20 years ago, SAP, Peoplesoft and others are invest millions $$ to "rewrite" your apps to Internet, thats code is secure?, i dont know, but the IT World buy the buzz word last Version, because they haven't idea too.

in the past the IT world are only AS/400 S/36 and UNIX, and Windows are toys, i remember when WordPerfect say about Windows is a interface for kids, in these days Microsoft is in the right way, now Microsoft is another Corporate, are unplugged from the reality , and now they focus in the marketing too.
