>I am installing my application in the training room. The application resides on the desktop. The printer will be over the Novell network. When I try to print to the printer I get the Windows Print to File window (Print to File is not set in the Details tab.). If I capture the LPT1 and assign the network path to LPT1 and try to print then the machine locks up.

You should not need to capture a printer port - this is needed only for DOS applications. If you look at the printer details, the port should be something like \\ServerName\PrintQueueName, not a local port like LPT1.
When going through the Add Printer wizard, be sure to select "Network Printer" and when you browse to the correct queue the port will be filled in automatically in the correct fashion.
The standard warning about HP printer drivers applies; use an MS-written one if possible.
