I seem to recall some messages here suggesting reduced performance if both NetBEUI and TCP/IP stacks are running simultaneously (not ever fully proven, again IIRC), but nothing about crashes such as you're seeing.
I think in your case it's a red herring. Blue-screen crashes in NT are usually a sign of hardware failure (bad RAM chip, fan failure, etc.) or an incorrect or buggy driver (most often video). Check that hardware drivers are exactly correct for the hardware and up-to-date; if the problem persists, run a hardware diagnostic overnight.
