Hi!

The buffering for views is enough. When base tables are buffered, after tableupdate() for view your require also tableupdate() for table.

>Hi, I am implementing an application that will use local views to interact with the data in the system. My question is: Is there any need to buffer the base tables or is the native buffering on the views sufficient?

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
