Since installing a new set of high powered terminal servers running W2000, one of my clients using our VFP based application has been experiencing an inordinate number of File Read Errors.

Research has turned up articles that claim that this error, along with the Illegal Seek Offset error, are caused by a known weakness in Foxpro memory management. One of the cures was to install an application level timer that performs a flush command, forcing Foxpro .

Does this make sense to anyone here ?

BTW, I have experienced the error myself when operating from the command window and NOT changing any data, just browsing.
