well, that's what i thought but i kept seeing documentation about using the server side for MSAccess. so i just thought that it didn't matter that it wasn't a client-server application and that the settings would make a difference.....they don't.

do you mean the .requery() method? because that's what i tried and the value was something about being BOF or EOF so i guess that won't work.

it does look like that is what i'm going to have to do. also, it looks like i need Access2000 from what i can tell. to get the jet driver, do i just need to re-install mdac?
