DOEVENTS is rarely needed. Usually, if AutoYield is off, it is required after you change some appearance properties of some control inside during the code running. DOEVENTS in such case refreshes the control. Without this the control remain for users not refreshed until program finish execution and application wait for inpout. Yes, it is impicit each time application waits for user input.
