Hi!
The character is entered with correct code. It is just displayed "wrong". How character is displayed is depended on the font used in the application where you enter characters by such way. Find and run "Character Map" utility (You can find it in the Accessuares, it is a part of standard windows installation). You will see there how Windows characters are different from what you know about DOS. MS Word have its own tool to insert special characters (find it in the menu).

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs
It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
