if you don't get your other methods to work & for what it's worth ...
i've just finished using a combination of adobe distiller and
acrobat writer to create pdf files consisting of a concatenation
of several different reports. both distiller & writer were invoked
using the createprocess win32 api. this gives tremendous flexibility in
output quality, the ability to detect when each process has completed,
and has proven to be very reliable. reply if interested in more details.
