Ron,

You should subclass all base classes to your own library. For instance, we have wgControls library, where we have almost all base classes subclassed and prefixed with wg. Most of them left without any change. wgGrid contains some code. We also have InGrid, ExpandedEditBox (by Cetin Basoz) and wgUniqueText where.

If you want it, just drop me a note at my work e-mail and I send you a copy of it, since there are no much work in these classes...

I guess what I am wanting to do is only possible through modifying the class, and I have to be in my own class and not the foundation class. And that is where I was going when this whole problem came up.
