>I am having to create an optional old style menu mechanism (I'm basing it on a form with buttons as well as a "Select Option:" keyboard prompt to look like a legacy menu). I would like to have this menu reference the windows VFP menu and pad for the same option on my legacy menu. I need a routine that if passed the cpad name would return the object reference for where that menu pad is located within the windows VPF menu. I can then execute the click event of the windows menu as well as interrogate it's properties (disabled, marked, etc) for sync'ing my legacy menu.

Gary,
I know, Wan Cheang-Hoong
is working now on writting such shortcut menu class, which is based on Hiten's idea. I've tested this class, it works fine, but requires some final tunning. I expect it will be ready in about two weeks, and then it would be available here for Download. If you'd like to test this class, drop Wan a note.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
