Hi!

Return a zero from the Valid event of the control, so this will indicate that Valid is failed (Focus do not leave control) and message will not appear (you will show it by your own way). In addition, check there if Cancel or Exit button pressed on your form to return 1 to allow user to exit changes anyway.
