this worked in FP3.0 but have not tried it in VFP6.0

SET DEFAULT TO (Dir_Spec)
RENAME "DBFS." TO (Other_Dir_File_Name)

Dir_Spec is full path to parent directory
substitute current dir name for "DBFS."
and Other_Dir_File_Name is you new directory name.
