Hmmmm....(thinking out loud)

1.0 was 1989
2.0 was 1991
2.6 was 1993
3.0 was 1995
5.0 was 1996
6.0 was 1998
7.0 is 2001 (presumably)

Maybe a year is a good thing. Certainly straightens some things out. VFP 6.0 installed into \VFP98 directory so you got 1/2 your wish.

>I have mixed feelings about the year being part of the version. It does make it easier to determine how current the version you have is, but then, it also dates your software. Just because you haven't released a "newer" version doesn't necessarily make it a bad thing.
