I'm sure you did test it <g>.
I'm working on this horrendous job at the moment to find a bunch of contacts in a CRM Database who work at the same company. Problem is that the database is not company centric and therefore the companies can have wildly different variations in name. E.g 'South Perth TAFE' or 'T.A.F.E of Sth Perth' or 'Sth Perth Technical College' or 'South Perth College of TAFE', etc, etc. What I've done is create a couple of extra columns in the table and assign some key values to them. For the above example I've assigned a key value of 'Perth' and look at any record that contains 'Perth' in the Company Name, although this returns some records which aren't matches, e.g 'Royal Perth Hospital', 'City of Perth', etc, etc. It's a labourious process but it's seems to be working at the moment.
