We have developed an application for one of our clients using VFP-6.0 and ORACLE-8i.Now we wanted to make this application multiuser.We made lot of experiment with RLOCK and FLOCK functions which are available in VFP-6.0 but it was locking only for Views, and not at the backend.Now we are trying with SQL PASS THROUGH(SPT) using TABLE LEVEL LOCKS and ROW LEVEL LOCKS which are available in ORACLE-8i.Now we are able to LOCK the rows or Tables at backend,but the same query with the SQL PASS THROUGH is not working in VFP.
I will be grateful to you if you provide some solutions to overcome this problem as early as possible.
