And here is one lonely vote to end the mega-comnferences in favor of smaller, but more regional conferences. This would help with attendance and the per-attendant cost would be lower, due to smaller facilities being required. They should be less expensive for the attendees, with lower travel expense. Also less impact on the corporate budgets.
But I doubt conferences, seminars, and conventions are really all that suitable for the kids, therefore timing would have to ba a consideration as well.
