RE: binary files.

When using VSS, our development team had a temporary class library for each of the developers. We could check out a class library and our personal library, move a class from the class library to our own temporary class, and then check the main class library back in. The opposite process restores the class to the class library to which it belongs.

The class browser allows you to do this pretty easily. Open up two instances of it, open 1 class lib in one, the other class lib in another, position the cursor over the class you want to move, then drag and drop from the icon in the top left corner. All references will be appropriately resolved.

This operation can get a little complicated when you have multiple layers of a class. I think we worked top down.
