I want to fill a grid column with a value other than a table field.
I have already found out that it is possible to make simple
calculations.

And it seems to be possible to use functions or methods to calculate
a more sophisticated value using the following expression as
control source: 0+THIS...Method(dsad). It doesn't work without 0+

But how can I use strings instead of numerical values?

I want to avoid using an array because first a have to fill it in advance and second it is limited to 65.535 elements, which is a problem when using RECNO().
