don't remember what development environment i've seen it in, but i have
seen button controls that would appear to remain depressed (pushed down,
not sad) until clicked again. that would be nice.

if by "sticking with the user" -- means they don't pay enough attention
to it, or don't notice it ... ?

for sake of simplicity, try specifying a bitmap for the picture property
and change it when clicked.
