Back when FPW was first released, someone wrote a lengthy, definitive article on using the old printer commands in a Windows environment. As I recall, the article had found a home on the Compuserve site. Sorry I can't be more definitive.

My experience attempting to use this in a peer to peer Windows environment is that these commands bypass the normal print queue, print immediately, in the midst of whatever other documents you're printing at the time.
