I'm definitely going to give this a shot. I do have a question about what you sent. You said to use ? to get your output into the file. ? performs a CRLF. If we want to embed control codes, we definitely don't want extra lines just to turn on bold or italics, etc. Would we use then use ?? to output the control codes.

We've played around with using the ??? while printing to file and find that it acts the same way as it does while sending output to printer ... it almost acts as though it purges the print stream and then starts over with whatever follows.

Anyhow, just wanted to find out if you were using ?? or something else to output your control codes to file.
