Thanks for your reply. I got it to work!

In the MSDN libray there is a document q140291 'HOW TO:Call the graph wizard and create a chart programmatically'. This walks you right through the first part. The output of the graph is in a dbf->memo field. Then create a report and insert a ole frame and get the data from the memo field. It works great.
Actually the people at Micro Endevors gave me this tip but thanks you for the reply.
