Dean,

A lot of people progranm in Access. Serious programmers? Guess that depends on your definition, but I know some folks who make a good living writing Access programs. It's not my normal choice, but I do have a couple of small Access apps out in the world.

In addition, I know several VB programmers who like to use Access MDBs for their database.

The Access users that I care about in this thread are the corporate types who may only keep a greeting card list in Access, but interpreted FoxPro being removed from the JET engine to mean Microsoft was no longer supporting FoxPro. - As a programmer, I don't care if I can't use JET to reach a FoxPro database. In the few Access apps I occasionally support I can get the tables in other ways. Indeed, Garrett asures me this is a good thing and I believe him. Unfortunately, for some people, it is another plank in the "Let's not use FoxPro anymore" platform.
David.
