In between Cetin's and your reply, I have experimented and noticed that if I do a SELECT ParentTable, the grid will filter itself to just the related CL_REF records, so I now know how to get what I want, but am confused now as to why I have to SELECT the parenttable to refresh the values in the grid?!!
