Title:
Running Crystal Reports 7 EXEs
I created an EXE for a report using Crystal Reports 7. It is on the same machine with Crystal Reports. If I double-click on the resulting EXE in Windows Explorer, the EXE appears to run without any issues.
If I try to run the report from the Command window with
RUN /N7 xx
where xx is the name of the report, I get a dialog box that lets me choose whether to preview, print to a printer or export. I "print the report to a window". I get "Invalid file name" from the Print Engine.
Any thoughts on what the problem might be?
Is RUN the best way to do this or should I use the Windows Scripting Host or is some other technique the best?
