Since recently rebuilding our network (win2k server migration) and ghosting a ton of win98 boxes with outlook 98 with all the security patches installed, we've come across what is probably a known issue to others.
With security patches installed, any time you create an Outlook message from VFP (or any other language I assume), and try to add recipients, a security dialog box pops up asking the user if they want to allow an external program access to it, and you have to choose yes or no, and for how many minutes.... Our users are finding this an annoying extra step that may shy them away from using this feature from our application. We'd prefer this not to happen as using this allows us to track activity that helps us streamline our business process.
I know this is so virii similar to the love bug can't propogate e-mail through outlook, but is there some way to pass credentials from the program, or some other workaround where I can get rid of this (*^$^ dialog box?
regards,
Jim Erwin
