I will try your sample code and see if I can apply it to my form. I wonder if using a free table as I am required to do by my project leader would change anything vs. using a table in the DE. On the surface I don't see why it would.

This is good. At least I have the work-around (not preferred way, using PUBLIC variables) working for checkboxes, textboxes, editboxes and comboboxes. This will buy me more time to apply your sample code to my form which would be neater and cleaner.
