Unlike one of your replies, I have definately had a number of problems with Win2000 and FPW2.6a. The main problem I had is that a library that I use extensively, "Winlist", does not work under Win2K. Also, my application runs much slower under Win2K with regarding to the useage and opening of tables and general data handling. I think this is something to do with the way Win2K "emulates" a 16bit environment.
As a result, I then went to WinNT for the first time after Win2K. I run my application on WinNT server and WinNT workstation(s). All of my libraries work in WinNT (including "Winlist") and the speed is at least as good as I experienced with Win95/98. I have asked around and it seems that WinNT is more reminiscent technically of the original Windows 3.x environment (for which FWP was targeted) than is Win2K - obviously, seen as how long they have both respectively been around. So, my main system on the office LAN runs on Novell Netware and Windows NT server, Win95/98/NT workstation(s).
I develop mostly on a Dell Laptop with which I dual boot between Win2K for VFP development and Win98 (both using FAT32) for my 2.6 work.
Hope this helps.
