Maybe paper mags "in general" are on the way out. Paper + postage is an expensive way to go when you can subscribe to online stuff for effectively free. Software manuals are mostly electronic now- I recall those lovely manuals up to and including FP2.6, about 12" worth of crisp fun... these days the software still costs much the same but the box weighs about 1/10th. And these days with VFP you get a skimpy pamphlet about VFP and lots of ads for other "proper" Microsoft Products... I've kept what came in a copy of VFP I bought late last year in case anybody wants to argue that MS really tries to promote VFP.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
