>>>Hi all,
>>>I work for a direct mailing company currently using FPW2.6. We run a lot of tables through First Logic's Postal Soft software, ACE; Merge/Purge; Presort. Is there anyone else using this software with VFP? I'd like to get out of the past and start using newer software.
>>>
>>>My boss says that Post Soft doesn't like the format of the VFP tables and so we can't update. Does anyone know if this is a fact or do I have to continue to live in a time warp?
>>>
>>>Is there a way to SIMPLY convert a table from VFP to FPW format?
>>>
>>>TIA

>>Pete,
>>For the last part of your question you can continue to use fox2x tables in VFP. There are only few issues that you shouldn't attempt to do to prevent a conversion to VFP format.
>>Also at any time you can :
>>copy to myTableAsFox2x type fox2x

And yet as another option, you could create views for fox2x tables and while tapping the power of VFP you could continue to support fox2x app users. Table would then be left as fox2x.
