Hi all,

Do you have any hint how to solve following Visual Basic /SQL server 7.0 related problem.

We've created a NT-service, which copies data between two databases locating in the same SQL Server. Default time interval for the data transfer effort is 5 seconds, even if user has a possibility to adjust it if needed.

Our service is normally running without troubles, but now we've got at least three customers, where our database (normally the source one) has moved into single user mode without any visible reason. An additional problem is, that this happens 'randomly' and we have never succeeded to re-create the situation during investigations.

We've had a vague idea, that this could be connected to rebooting of computer where service (and normally also SQL Server) is running. However, our hypothesis might be or might not be true.

Any ideas what might be the reason? We're using Visual Basic 6.0 as development tool and source code of service doesn't contain any command, which could explain the situation directly - but some unknown side effects are possible, of course.

Rgs,
Ilkka
