Thanks for your reply. However I don't want to disable the menu. I guess the question wasn't all that clear.
When pressing Ctrl keys (eg Ctrl+Y Ctrl+U which have no definition) in a text box, I get small square boxes. Also some other bizarre behaviour particulary with Ctrl Y.
