First, I work at a commercial printing company and manage the
Novell 3.12 network and all computer software. The company has a
Foxpro 2.6 fully integrated software package that helps run the
company. I write some custom reports and small programs that
interface with it but I am no application developer nor do I wish to
be.
I need an knowledge base networkable software package.
It needs to be able to sort first by a category then by sub-category.
Example:
1) sort by a customer, vendor or and project type category.
2) sort by a customer name.
3) sort by date information was entered.
Index on category, name, date
Once the customer, project or vendor is found information about it
can be entered by anyone and read by anyone.
The point is to share information without having to run around and
talking to people trusting they will remember something that happened
1 month, 6 months a year ago.
It also needs to be Windows 95 compatible.
Anyone built anything like that they want to sell or know of a good
program that is out there?
