I think I will try the cursor approach as it seems the fastest to implement although I suspect the subclass is the better method.

Glad I am not the only one working this weekend....

>You could also define a cursor in the form and dump the SQl into that cursor which would be bound to the grid. As long as there is a blank record in the cursor at startup to avoid a complaint from the grid init.
