This isn't so much a VFP question as it is a question about using FTP controls from within VFP, and specifically with LARGE files.

Our app has a synchronization function that makes use of FTP. We use the FTP control that comes from Mabry software. Once in a while, a user may need to download a file that's 140 MB or larger (yes, 140 MB). Even on a high speed connection, that can take a good amount of time.

Periodically, the download chokes on the GETFILE, sometimes halfway through, sometimes at the end. Even when I try to download files of this size using WS FTP Pro, it sometimes chokes on files of that size. However, I've got some impatient users who want an explanation.

Any comments/ammo that I can provide?
