anytime I use a grid control that displays fewer coumns than the driving table or the total width of all the columns is greater than the width of the control ( requires horizonatal scroll ) the column widths I set are ignored and are set to the field widths of the driving table ( all logicals now have column width of 1 and Description has room for 200 character even though the average will only be 10 ( I set it to 80 ) ).

how can I force the column widths init with what I set them to? ( I've tried setting movable and sizable to fault, but that sisn't seem to work, and i want the user to be able to do it if they want anyway.)
