Hi Steve! I've a global variable called glModalMode and set this variable in the Init of each form and reset this variable in Destroy event. Usually I'm using the form classes. When I try the quick-menu genrated by Menu designer it works just fine. But when I change the caption of menu pad in this menu, it won't work!!!! It work only if I change the menu pad name to one of system names (_mfile, etc) Probably, I will try yet another way to run toplevel menus and will keep you informed in this dig ;))) * Beggars cannot be choosers P.S. Try to change the captions of menu pads... You will have the fantastic results <g> P.P.S. I've tried make an application object's property for this purposes, but no luck. >It's a standard menu created through the designer. The top-level form has >a textbox on it to create a dummy wait state to check for the need to >resize itself. The menu shows up just fine in it though. The code in the >.Init event of the top-level form is; >better to make it a property of the top-level form?
