I attended Rubel's session on PK strategies in VFP where he got into a lot of bench mark testing. I was concerned that if memory buffering is not limited, performance is degraded. I just thought there might be a easy way to determine what your app requires with regards to memory and then limit the foreground memory buffer to that or just over.

I didn't get to that session, but I've know this topic has been making the rounds. Someone said 80% of resources, I think. I haven't had any (known) problems with this...but I know there have been one or two UT threads where the exact coding has been supplied (tried it myself, once, in fact!). Do a search on sys(3050) and you should find something...
