no, Julie, i want to add a couple of other variables into the soup, like not starting a contact if the details are going to carry on printing on the next page. i usually get all the records i am going to print into a 'holding' file and add info in a field that affects the 'print when' in the report etc. in this case, i will have to do a calculation to see if the next contact will fit on the page or if i need to get the page ejected and start the next contact on a new page, so i have to be able to tell the report to eject at what would not be a normal place....
