Hi Scott,

Thanks for your comments. I was able to (eventually) package the workstation install successfully. What I did was run the steup wizard and re-package one of my old apps. I then used the setup wizard again for my current project, reset all the fields in the wizard - and the only thing I changed was that the folder where the setup files were created was change from 'work_st' to 'workst' - and it worked OK - no error 723. I don't know why that made any difference - or even if it did - but it worked OK afterwards.
