Hmmmm... I don't remember that episode off hand. I guess the question is, was he engaged in the "regular reality" or just in this alternate reality? If, in the alternate reality, he wasn't engaged until a point after the time Voyager was lost, then he may not have been engaged in the normal reality. Does that make any sense? :)
