Thanks, guys,
I installed MDAC 2.6 and reboot. No luck. Uninstalled and reinstalled DLL, this time including VFP6T.DLL in the package. Tried and it worked (without even having to regsvr32 VFP6T.dll).
Not entirely sure what is going on, but at least it works.
Now to make it all work consistently.
