even with the methods mentioned here, using Ie, or Netscape, the user, / hacker you are attempting to confuse, will simply select from their browser.
file->save to save the html, to a text file and they have it. cute little trick I used many times, when attempting to learn html, and how some of the better sites do what they do.
The two suggestions, to prevent unwanted people stealing your web site,

1 write you web using front page. No one will want that code. !

2 take out all the cr+lf out of your html, and a one line html document ...
that doesn't prevent people from seeing it, but it does make it quite harder to know what you did. Html does not need any white space, or crlf, so removing them all, does allow them to be rendered correctly, however, debugging them later might be (or will be a big hassle.) -if you didnt keep another correct copy.
