I use the report writer and the Zebra Z6000 with the internal barcoding fonts all the time; it requires the definition of custom page size, the version 2.5 driver set and printing a single label per page, with the label the size of the custom form. This works well for shipping labels or packing lists that are printed one up and have fixed size. The Z6000 runs about $2K. The same approach works with Zebra's Z4000 and Z4M. It's easier to print complex labels of variable size using an ActiveX control that does not treat the barcode printer as a Windows print device.
