Actually, the pq-compserv-prog is the name of the specific print queue not the name of the print server.
I've tried the net use command on the Win9x machine and have not yet been able to get it to accept the syntax (and I've tried just about every combination of server name, context name, print queue and/or print server name). I get the same result each time: error 53: The computer specified in the network path can not be located. ...
The thing that really bugs me is that I can then walk over to the Win2k machine and do the exact same net use command and it works fine.
The same is true of the CopyFile command in VFP. It won't work on my Win9x machine but I walk over to the Win2k machine and it works like a charm. Surely Win9x and Win2k don't use a completely different syntax for addressing a shared print queue?
It seems like in both cases, the problem boils down to the fact that Win2k likes the syntax "\\ntm_2001\pq-compserv-prog" where Win9x won't accept it.
