No. That's my point. Apparently you leave it up to the developer to set it visible. By default, the framework seems to have it set invisible.
This makes sense if your developing a COM component with no UI, but wasn't immediately obvious. It took a while to initially discover why the app would start and end immediately when running from the runtime, but work in development. Unfortunately, that was many, many months ago and a problem we thought was resolved. We added, _screen.visible=.t. to the goapp.beforereadevents() and the initial problem was solved. Unfortunately, putting that line of code in beforereadevents() was not soon enough to avoid this latest problem. The "file not found" error message confused the issue just enough to make me look for something else.
NOTE: you might want to look at the inconsistent behavior of the shutdown process when the goapp.OnFirstTimeRun() fails versus exiting the app normally.
