I remember when I was in the Navy. My sub was returning from an extended mission in the Indiana Ocean. Our sub was allowed shore leave in Rio on the way back. A few of the crew contracted a condition lets say that would preclude any contact with another of the opposite sex for about 6 weeks. Unfortunately we were to sail into Norfolk in 3 weeks. Just like Ensign Kim, it would be great to be a fly on the wall seeing how these guys explained this to their wives/girl friends. That is why I think the show wrapped up like it did. Quick and painless.....
