I took the intermediate and advanced courses from Application Developers a few months back... it is difficult for me to evaluate the course from a newcomer's perspective, because I had already been working with VFP for a couple of months, but I learned a few things anyway. There was a lot of basic OOP and relational theory that was basically worthless to me, I just needed VFP. I have heard that compared to other courses, the AppDev is pretty good.
I wouldn't bother with the Mastering VFP CD from MS. I found that one pretty worthless... didn't learn anything that wasn't in the documentation and examples that were included with VFP.
